DESCRIPTION:Niagara County Department of Health Offers FREE Rabies Immunization Clinics\n\n\nRabies vaccination prevents fatal disease in dogs\, cats and ferrets. Rabies is a viral disease that in most cases results in death of the animal not adequately protected with a rabies vaccination. New York State law requires all cats\, dogs\, and ferrets to have current rabies vaccinations from four months of age and on.  Vaccinated pets serve as a buffer between rabid wildlife and humans. Rabies vaccination protects your pet and reduces your risk of exposure to rabies. \nNiagara County Department of Health offers FREE rabies immunization clinics. Appointments are required and may be scheduled online www.niagaracounty.com/rabiesclinic or by calling (716) 439-7490.  Registration opens the first business day of the week of the clinic date.  A separate registration is required for each pet.  Walk-ins will not be accepted. \nDog and cat owners are asked to bring proof of their pet’s vaccination with them to the clinic in order to receive a 3-year vaccination certificate; otherwise\, a one-year certificate will be issued. Ferrets will be issued a one-year certificate. Dogs must be secured with a collar and leash or be in a carrier. Please do not use retractable leashes. DESCRIPTION:NIAGARA COUNTY “THANK A VET” PROGRAM\n\n\n\n\n\nATTENTION ALL VETERANS!!\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Town of Pendleton will be hosting the Niagara County Veterans Service Agency’s mobile “Thank A Vet” program at the Town Hall located at 6570 Campbell Boulevard\, Pendleton\, NY\, on Tuesday\, July 23rd from 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM.\n\n\n\n\n\nVeterans will need to bring their DD-214 Member 4 Copy or proof of honorable discharge AND their license for proof of Niagara County residency.\n\n\n\n\n\nThe “Thank A Vet” cards can also be obtained from the Niagara County Veterans Service Agency’s directly at 111 Main Street\, Suite 200\, Lockport\, NY\, Monday through Friday 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM.\n\n\n\n\n\nThis program is a way for our county to recognize the service and sacrifices made by our returning veterans. Under the “THANK A VET” Discount Program\, eligible veterans will receive a photo I.D. card\, identifying them as an honorably discharged veteran.\n\n\n\n\n\nParticipating county merchants will agree to honor the card by providing holders with a discount on purchases or services.\n\n\n\n\n\nEach merchant’s name\, logo\, address and discount particulars are displayed here on the Niagara County website: https://www.niagaracounty.com/…/participating…\n\n\n\n\n\nPLEASE SHARE THIS IMPORTANT MESSAGE ~ THANK YOU
